We went to the Armed Forces Bowl at SMU to watch SMU play Army. It was fun to see our friends and family and Susannah was very excited to attend the game. When we woke her up at 6am that morning, the first thing she said was "Hi Mommy, Hi Daddy, is it time for the Mustang game?" Oh, it was so sweet....maybe we have a future mustang here? :) She loved wearing her SMU cheer uniform and we all had fun cheering on the Mustangs.
We had perfect seats...front row and Susannah loved that we were right in front of the cheerleaders. She enjoyed watching them cheer and she liked seeing Peruna.
And when she got a little bored with football, she decorated the bleachers - with crackers & peanuts
The peanuts were such a hit with Susannah - not only did she decorate with them, but then cracking the shell and eating them was quite fun too! She snuggled right in between Natalie and Drew when they bought the first bag. Oh, and peanuts were just the beginning...after those, she finished off an entire giant pretzel and a hot dog. Yep, she's a gameday girl :)
And here's where it all started for me and Michael, when we met 12 years ago!
Raise your pony ears. You can see Susannah's precious little hand in front of my face....she's working on her pony ears.
On the boulevard with Mimi Jane and Pop. We were trying to slow her down enough to snap a picture. Oh my goodness, this girl is on the go!
Swinging with Natalie and Michael
It's so nice that we live close to our college and can take Susannah to the football games. She's been attending since she was 3 months old! I found a picture from her first season of games (2008) and attached it below. I can't believe how time flies. Each year just gets better and better and I can't wait to see what the future holds. It will be so fun to show her where Michael and I met and where we lived and went to classes. SMU is a special place - go ponies!
