April 2015

Happy Easter!

We went to OKC on Saturday for an Easter Egg Hunt and brunch with family and then we were back in Tulsa on Easter for Susannah's Easter performance with the Children's church choir.

Susannah's end-of-year Kindergarten program was a hit!  The entire grade sang songs and then the class hosted a party.  Mimi Jane and Pop joined us for all the fun, too!
Michael and I got the biggest kick out of Susannah tucking in her t-shirt.  She looked so cute on stage, singing and dancing with her shirt tucked in, and her pants pulled way up. Michael said she looked like a brunette me at that age.  I'll take that as a huge complement because Susannah, you are seriously the cutest and you always make us smile.  Thank you for being you!!

Hey there cutie patootie!

Susannah is keeping this little homemade gift on her bedside.  It's from her dear friend Elijah Moore.  He wrote both their names, cut out each name, and then taped them together.  This is God's kind love...so precious.

Kindergarten Field Trip to the Zoo
This was a great day for me and Susannah.  The kids met for lunch and other than that we could go anywhere for the day.  Susannah was really attached to me and so we just walked all around the zoo, holding hands and talking.  I loved every minute.  Thank you sweet girl.

London, Katherine, Susannah and Kelsey had a "Girls Day Out" to see the live action play of Charlotte's Web.  We had a great time!  Susannah received the movie and my old book for Christmas.  She was so excited to see the story live.

It's road trip time!  We couldn't finish April without one more road trip - 5 over the past 2 months, whoop whoop!  We went to Fayetteville to see Preston play baseball.  It was so fun to see Preston, Mary Ann, and Joe.  The kids loved watching Preston play - and they especially loved shopping at the ballpark with Aunt Mary Ann!

Russell watching Preston and his teammates.  They even gave Russell a game ball!  He was in awe.  It was great.

He went strong until the last inning and then this....

Ball signing time!  These are now proudly displayed in their bedrooms.

The Inn at the Mill was a historic hotel that we stayed in.  The kids had a fun time running around the property.
This picture captures Russell's little personality perfectly....happy, curious, and always moving!

After our night in Fayetteville we drove to Plano to be with Meredith and Phillip and family to celebrate their engagement.
Congratulations Meredith and Phillip!

Need I say more?

The kids are very into animals right now.  They love any and all animal books, pictures, and shows.  Wild Kratts is their favorite TV show.  They watched an episode on lemurs and then made lemur tails and acted out lemur activities.  I was pretty convinced! They're just so darn creative - and entertaining!! :)
