Susannah is playing her first season of soccer. She is very excited. We went to the store and bought everything in pink - pink shorts, pink shinguards, pink shoes, and a pink ball. She also stopped me before leaving for the first game because I forgot to get her pink bows. What was I thinking! At her first game, the weather was 45 degrees with light rain - totally miserable. She told me it was too cold for her to play. And she told me this in the middle of the game as she ran off the field. Second game, 75 degrees and sunny - totally perfect. She told me that she was too hot. As a matter of fact, all the girls were "too hot." They just stood there and asked for their snack. The boys in the meantime run around like crazy, sometimes in the direction of the ball. At practice, the coach asked what their team name should be. Here were the suggestions from our 4 year old boys and girls:
1) Soccer Team
2) Biscuits
3) Rose (Susannah's suggestion)
4) Jaguars
They are now the jaguars. Go team go!!
Sophie and Russell are excited for soccer season too. Btw, controlling Russell at the soccer games is pretty much impossible. He is ready to play!
