Sleeping Beauty

Our little princess likes to read by herself for a little bit each night. We love listening to her "read" her stories outloud. She will call our name when she's finished and it's lights out, bedtime.  The other night we never heard from her, but it was so quiet in her room that we knew she must have been asleep.  We walked in and found her like this.  When we showed her this picture the next day, Susannah told us three things: 1) She is Princess Aurora. 2) Russell is her prince. 3) She was dreaming of Peter Pan. So cute!

Also, Susannah begs me daily to put Russell in bed with her to read.  When I lay Russell down she squeals with excitement and talks a million miles a minute to him about everything in her bed and her books.  Russell just tries to grab everything and put it in his mouth.  He's getting very good at it, too!  Here is my prince and my princess cuddling in Miss Susannah's bed:

And our other princess, Miss Sophie, is using a make-shift bed in these pictures. Poor thing pouted so badly one day because I put her bed outside to air out for a little bit. She sat at the door and stared at it, simply distraught. She finally settled for this way-too-small mat that Susannah was using for her dolls (it's even too small for Russell!). Oh Sophie dog, life's not all that bad!
