It's VBS time!
A little post-VBS, pre-birthday celebration at Cheesecake Factory
Russell loves playing outside, playing sports, Pokemon, Disney, animals, school, and anything that tells a good story - movies, songs, and the theatre.
The birthday boy with his new chess set. He asked for this set because he learned to play in Kindergarten and is excited to teach us all. Let the games begin!
Susannah and Russell's Birthday Party fun!
We celebrated at the CC Pool this year with swimming, baseball, tug-of-war (girls won!), snacks, and cake.

Susannah made her very own toga from her "Girls Book of Adventure" book.
The morning after his birthday celebration began with some serious Pokemon card organization. Russell is really enjoying playing Pokemon - and he got some great cards for his birthday. Michael, Susannah, and Russell play some intense games - I'm still learning!
And Elizabeth and Susannah saw Incredibles 2 on opening day - they loved it!
Brown Family Reunion in Orange Beach
We spent time with Jane's siblings and their families.
We also celebrated Susannah's 10th Birthday!
It was a wonderful week of family fun!

We were lucky enough to be vacationing in Orange Beach at the same time as the Brownes. We lunched together, and celebrated Susannah's 10th Birthday. It was so fun!
And we made it out the Florabama for some live music!

Wow, I can't believe Susannah is ten! She has the kindest soul, still outgoing as ever, and always ready to make you smile. She loves theatre, playing outside, movies, American Girl Dolls, Shopkins, school, and just like Russell, anything that tells a good story.
Susannah's girl scout troop donated their cookie earnings to Cleats for Kids this year.
They were able to tour the facility and learn all about this wonderful organization that provides sports clothing and equipment to local school, organizations, and sports clubs.
We decided to do the Sea Lion encounter at the zoo and it was amazing!
The kids were able to practice tricks with Piper - one of the female sea lions - one male sea lion, the two seals, and the baby sea lion who just turned one. He was so cute! We had a wonderful time learning more about these magnificent animals and playing with them!
Look at this cute baby! He was trying to do everything Piper was doing, but he was flopping all over the place. He could barely even get up on the platform. He was so funny!

The male sea lion - he is huge! And after this friendly wave he soaked us with a huge splash!
