It's summer vacation time!
We traveled to the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs for a wonderful vacation in the mountains. We loved the resort, the mountains, and the sun. We played outside, swam, hiked, bowled, ate delicious cuisine, and the kids scootered around the property like crazy. It was a fantastic week of family fun.
We drove through Wheeler, Texas and did a little sight seeing in this cute town.

Seven Falls
We hiked along all the waterfalls, learned the mining history, and dined in the Broadmoor's 1858 restaurant at Seven Falls. My favorite part of the day - apart from the amazing views - was when our sweet Susannah made the announcement at lunch that she just "loves camping." So cute!
The Golden Bee Restaurant
This was a hit with the kiddos because of the karaoke and of course, the bees! The kids left with quite a collection of bees and the pianist gave us The Broadmoor playbook of songs so Susannah can practice. Everyone is so nice here. The waiter even looked up the history of the song "Oh Susanna!" (written in 1848 by Stephen Foster, fyi)
Beautiful foggy morning over the mountains...the views from our room were spectacular.
Back home now...a few weeks left for Summer Silliness!

The Lees in OKC!
Our Tulsa friends visited and we enjoyed Pops and a trip to the zoo. It's such a joy to have them here with us for a visit. We miss our sweet friends so much.
