Christmas began with Christmas Eve service at church, then dinner with our family, extended and all. It was nice to all be together.
Christmas Eve before dinner - I tried to get a group shot and a picture with all of the kids but soon realized that rounding people up is not a talent of mine. So, here is our immediate family -- and Russell was always willing to pose for a pic!
The Haymakers first Christmas as a married couple!
Christmas morning is here! Susannah woke up first (7am, not bad Susannah Jane!). She was thrilled to find the presents that Santa left for her.
I love this picture because she was opening her gift from Mimi Jane and Pop, but noticed that Santa had left a gift for Sophie. So she gave it to her, with sheer joy and giggles, so they could "play with their gifts together." Such a sweetie.
And then Russell woke-up and was excited about his presents too!
Then we sang Happy Birthday to baby Jesus.
And opened stockings....
Russell didn't get too far past the mesmorizing bath toys. Like his tiger bath hat? Santa thought he and Susannah needed bath hats for fun.
Our happy boy!
After a yummy breakfast we watched Susannah's new tinkerbell movie.
Drew loved it so much that he fell asleep during the first 5 minutes. Come on Uncle Drew!
Well, so did Russell....
That afternoon, we went to Yaya and Papa's. Santa had been there too!
Merry Christmas everyone!
