Michael was really sick all weekend and is still recovering, so we didn't really get to celebrate. Tonight we had a family dinner, just the 3 of us...pizza & "brownie" cake....Michael's request and he loved it :) Oh, and Susannah practically climbed across the table to get to the cake & ice cream. It was hilarious.
My mom and dad stopped by to bring him their present - his favorite cake. My mom baked Michael a caramel cake with caramel icing and she was laughing at herself because she's never attempted this flavor cake or icing from scratch, but I'm totally serious when I say that her cake is yummy! Maybe this needs to be a tradition for Michael's birthday???! The picture below was just taken after we inhaled her cake. Go Mom. :)
